Polls: Public opposes health care reform 50 to 44

According to Pollster.com, not much has changed since the end of August. Obama and the Congressional Democrats have their work cut out for them.

  1. Fascinating -- especially when you click through to the detailed data and the questions used by the various pollsters. Polling 101 dictates that questions should be phrased as neutrally as possible, which in this case means the proper phrasing would be something like "changes to the healthcare system," rather than "healthcare reform." Of the minority of polls that found in favor of Obama's plan, almost all of them had used the term "reform."
